Welcome to the world as I see it!
This online collection of selected photographs from my archives reflects my love of life in all forms and my passion for recording life as my legacy.
My interest in photography began when I served in the U.S. Army more than 40 years ago. While stationed in Germany for two years, I bought my first “real” camera – a Braun 35mm – and I have had a camera in my hands ever since. I worked my way through several fine 35mm SLRs, but a gift of an Olympus 300 introduced me to the world and wonders of digital photography. Today, I shoot with a Cannon 40D and an Olympus E1, and I love them both.
I do most of my photographic work as a volunteer serving my community’s interests. I am the official photographer for the Rockville Maryland Volunteer Fire Department and a principal photographer for the Potomac Conservancy. I have won numerous awards for my work, especially my nature photographs, scenic shots, and cityscapes, and my photographs have been reproduced in a number of local and national publications, including The Washington Post and House and Garden Magazine.
Enjoy!
